Why We Use a Crane for Some Tree Removal Projects

Last Updated 2/24/2023Posted in Trusted in Tree Services, Homepage Blog Preview

So some of our tree removal projects require the use of a crane. The ones that do are usually larger trees that are very close to a structure or road etc. with little to no room to either drop limbs, wood or access them with a machine when we get the tree down.

In some cases, we use a crane because it's the only option. If a tree were damaged too bad by weather or just nature itself, a crane is the safest option. We always do everything we can to protect your home or property no matter what but, a crane ensures us that we can control the fall of limbs and wood being removed from the tree. Cranes can be tricky if you don’t know how to properly use them but, with our experience we can handle all those hard to reach/access jobs.

Typically when using a crane we hook the crane to a section of the tree, sometimes the whole entire tree if applicable, with a properly rated strap connected to the crane ball and cut the tree in a way so that we can control it all the way to the ground and set it where we want to in a safe and controlled manner.

"Not all jobs require a crane and sometimes it just doesn’t fit the job. But when we are able to use one it’s my favorite thing to do in tree work. Being able to lift thousands of pounds of wood and completely control where it goes is awesome!" - Brandon Earnest, Owner
