The Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) is an extraordinary tree, known for its rapid growth and towering height.
Originating from China, it is a species that dates back to the time of the dinosaurs. Finding a Dawn Redwood in our region is quite uncommon, making this project particularly exciting for our team.
The tree's majestic presence and historical significance added a layer of awe to the task at hand.

Given the tree's height and location, traditional rigging techniques were not the best option. Instead, we opted for a specialized method known as Zip-lining.
Zip-lining: A Unique Rigging Technique
Zip-lining involves using a high-strength line to lower tree sections safely to the ground.
This technique is particularly useful in situations where space is limited, and precision is crucial.
For the Dawn Redwood, Zip-lining allowed us to control the descent of large branches and trunk sections with pinpoint accuracy, avoiding damage to the landscape and nearby structures.
